I've been induced once (currently third pregnancy, second one and on her own) but mine went pretty quick. I was 11 days overdue. Went in about 7pm for cervadil, pitocin started about 7am, water broken by dr around 8am or 9 and she was born at 1158am.
Getting induced with this one the same was Monday night and I'm hoping it is as quick as my first :)
With my first it was 24.5 hrs and then 2 hours pushing and with my second 17 hours then 30 minutes pushing. My third was no pitocin(that stuff is the devil lol) all my midwife did was break my water and then let me walk around and labor and it was only 7 hours and 4 minutes pushing
I know he said he is giving me a pill first so do I have to get pitocin. Are u able to walk around if u get it
Took me 15 hours of labor and 30 minutes after she came out after being induced.. Dont want to be induced ever again..
With my first child I was induced d with just pitocin and I gave birth about 6 he's after they started the drip and only pushed for about 30 mins. I had been 4 cm dilated for about a week and a half though when I went in.
I'm not dilated at all I sure hope things have changeby the time I go for my 39 week check up
The Dr.induced me at 38.5 weeks because he thought I had a narrow pelvis and didn't want to let the baby get too big. I honestly had a great experience with being induced but you can tell by reading posts on this app every experience is different!
I doubt remember how long it took but i remember how painful it was to be induced. I can't go through that again this time.
I stopped at 9cm so my baby nevet came on its own had to have a csection.
Depends on the hospital if they will let you walk around with pitocin or not. The pill is probably to soften your cervix. If you aren't dilating then I'm sure they will do pitocin. Will they not let you go over a little bit? As long as fluids are ok and baby is not in distress there is no reason you cannot go over 40 weeks. If you are a bit dilated I believe to a 2 or more they can break your water. I told my midwife this time no pitocin unless absolutely necessary. It makes your contractions much stronger than what your body does naturally.
I was induced with my first and I was in labor for ten and a half hours.
I was 42 weeks when induced. Went in at 6 PM and was given the pill and strapped to a ton of monitors. Spent the night on the delivery table (way uncomfortable) didn't sleep and had to call nurses every 20 minutes to unhook me to pee. Doc came in at 9:30 am and broke my water and started pitocin drip. Daughter was born at 10:24 PM. Pushed for 2 hours. I was not allowed to get up and walk around.
I getting induced due to my diabetes
Took me 22 hours for my first one to deliver ...good luck and no ots not bad if you have to be induced but I heard if you can go natural no inducing ita better bc labor isnt as hard on you
36 hours later I had my girl. My body wasn't ready at all. I was 41 weeks when I was induced.
I'm so excited that I roughly know when I'll get to meWtbs her but I dnt want the added pain if my body is not ready. I might refuse now
With my son I started the induction medicaion around 7 am they broke my water around 12 and had him by 430
BAbybrown were u already dilated
I had an amazing experience I was at 4cM pitocin was started at 7am she was born at 1:03pm I pushed for 2 hours
So I'm guessing ppl that were already dilated had a better experience
