baby eczema

I know this isn't pregnancy related per say but are there any mommys out there that have babys with eczema? If so what do you do for it? Her doctor who saw her today just said to put vasolene on it but to some extent that is what I have been doing and I am seeing no improvement. I feel like there has got to be something I can do...

Not sure how old your baby is but is she has startes solids she may have a food sensitivity to something.  I know my son eczma would get worse (crack and bleed) with sweet potato.  He also does have sensitive and dry skin like me.  We tried a bunch if stuff and some help but never cleared up.  Until we tried a lotion that I know swear by and is free of toxic chemicals..we eventually became a toxic chemical free household. So everything we use and touch from his lotion to our tooth paste.  We ended up saving money too.  Hope you find a solution for your little one soon :)

My daughter has eczema and we use no scented bar soap when we bathe her, which the doc said to only do once every 2-3 days. Then we use non scented lotion (aveeno makes a good one). We put that one her twice a day. We also use hydrocortisone on the irritated spots every 4-6 hours until they clear up.

I had two kids that had it and we tend to have allergies to petroleum which caused it to spread. We used that baby naturals line ...cant remember now what the full name is....green/teal colored tube and was kinda minty. It was more creamy and worked really well. Shoot! What is the name??? It is called eczema cream though, for sure.
