This is my first but I will have a baby shower for all future babies. Every baby is a gift and should be celebrated. You will always need diapers, wipes, creams, and othet disposables. Because my carseat and crib are convertible I will need one of those for the next as well plus gender specific things is it is a boy next time around. But even if you don't do gifts it is still a time to get together with family and friends to have fun, play games, and celebrate the upcoming birth. Just my opinion. I am due christmas and my shower is at the end of the month.

Well I'm 33 weeks and I'm not going to have my shower until I'm 37 weeks I'm due Nov 27 , I think its cool you wana throw your own shower , but help is always awesome especially when it comes to decorations it might get overwhelming , you know US pregnant women get exhausted fast some help would be perf .. And about the baby shower situation I feel like it doesn't matter how many kids you have a baby shower its to welcome the baby & to help the mommy out wit necessities cause babies are expensive, this is my first child , but my mom had 7 and a baby shower for all but one.

I also agree with the one baby shower and done theory. I have a 5 year old boy that I never had a baby shower with, as I got pregnant at 17. I bought everything myself for him. I am now pregnant with baby number 2. They will be 6 years and one month apart. This is my fiances first baby and I never had a shower with my first. I kept big things such as crib, changing table, etc, but we are going to have a shower for our daughter when I'm around 32 weeks. Will be my only shower regardless of whether we have more children or not.

I'm not trying to offend anyone. You asked for opinions and I gave mine. No I would not have more than 1 shower regardless of the sex. I as well as people I know think it's tacky even if they don't say anything. That's just my opinion.

A baby shower isn't just about gifts it's about celebrating the baby. This will be my fourth baby and I've had baby showers for all of them. I'm 31 weeks and will have mine the 18th this month. If no one has one for you go ahead and make your own.

If you want my honest opinion I think it's really tacky to throw a shower if you have other children. I know that when we are invited to a shower where the mom has already had one that we either don't go, buy a really small gift etc. And truthfully people always comment amongst themselves how tacky it is. I'd never have a shower if I already had one with another child. In reality you should already have all the baby essentials....it's only clothes thst someone should need. Just my opinion.

I have 3 girls already. A 6, 5 & 1 1/2 year old. If this is a boy i am going to throw my own baby shower. I only had 1 baby shower and that was for my 6 year old. I had to buy everything for my 1 1/2 year old because everyone told me it was wrong to have a shower for her since  i already had 2 girls. Do yall think that is true? Or if this is a girl and i dont have any of my youngest clothes left that it would be ok to have a shower?? Please help me out. I have no one i can ask these questions.

If you want a baby shower throw it!  It's all about you and baby right now. Enjoy it!  My cousin mom and mil are throwing my shower end of January so I will be 31 or 32 weeks. We haven't set an exact date yet.

I had mine at 32 weeks too.  I wasn'going to have a baby shower at first but my mom convinced me and I would definitely recommend you have one because you'll save so much money by not having to buy as many things. I got most of the stuff on my registry. The only thing I need to get are a few bottles, diapers, and bedroom furniture.

No if you don't have anyone throwing it and you really want one then you should . only if its a decent price. If its too expensive I feel that money can go to baby instead. But people usually have it a month or 2 before due date. I'm due valentines day. My shower Dec 6

I had mine at 32 weeks. Seemed like a good time because I still had time to buy things I didn't get. I don't see anything wrong throwing your own shower. It's certainly easier having a person do it for you, but if you don't have that person, you can have your party still. :)

I am 29wks tomorrow and my babyshower is Oct 25. My DD is Dec.17. Although my sil are throwing it I am still helping making stuff for deco. And I made them little hostesses mums. I also had a friend who through her own inside her house was the babyshower and in the backyard her hubby had a diaper guy party. It was nice, to go to my hubby hung out with the guys and I was inside with the ladies. So I think its fine if you want to throw your own. I would still get a friend to help you though just so you dont get overwhelmed.  Good luck momma♡
