birth control?

So im thinking of doing the 5yr or 10yr iud but dont haave much knowledge on it... any recommendations or stories on your birth control stories?

I got pregnant with the Paraguard iud. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant. A definite surprise when we weren't exactly ready for another kiddo. But he is meant to be here, and the iud was safely removed.

I'm going to go back on oral birth control (yasmin) after baby bc I want another baby a year or so later.  After baby two, I'll do an iud. Most likely mirena

Definitely gunu get one of them I just dont know witch one...thank u ladies for ur response just needed some opinions...did it take long to get pregnant after or anyone get pregnant while on the iud?

I'll be getting the hormone free 5 year IUD. It took me more than 5 years to conceive because the hormones in my BC pills for 8 years screwed up my cycles even more than the PCOS they were supposed to treat!

I had the 10yr iud and will be getting another after this baby. I do not handle hormonal birth controls well and this is the only one I had no complications with.

I loved my mirena and plan to get it again. I have a history of absolutely horrible cramps and heavy periods...it got rid of those. :)

Myself and most every mom I know swears by their IUD. I had mine after my daughter and loved it... There are risks but the Dr can explain them... They are extremely rare
