Well it depends on how big and what you want. We rented a hall, making own food, bought all decorations and special ordered invites. There are 80 people invited. My mom and sisters are throwing it for us (first grand child for mom) She is acting like its a wedding. I think they said they are around $1500.00 (USD)
There's nothing wrong with throwing your own. Ill be planning and funding my own with my boyfriend. We will be having a coed bbq style, very laid back. I budgeted no more than 400 including food, decorations, etc for about 50 people. Its a time to celebrate, dont get down about the little things :)
Mine cost me $35.. i organised a high tea and just asked everyone to pay for themselves
Set up a registry and in your invites let them know where you are registered.
My mom and I threw mine. Spent a few hundred....decorations and on food (we had a buffet sit down dinner ).
Nice from your sisters.. I dont have any help, thats the issue, my friends ask about when im having it but they dont ask if I need anything, :(
With my two showers my sister did them. I don't think your supposed to do it yourself.
