inducing

My doctor called me today to tell me that I'm being induced on Saturday! I'm so excited to finally meet my little girl. My question is, for those that have been induced, how long were you in labor after you're water was broken?

I started the pitocin at 930 am, I think they broke my water about 3 pm, pushed at 550 pm, son was born at 605. I loved it, nervous this one will come on it's own

I had waters popped I was 3cm at the time - nothing else happened
Got the gel put on cervix - nothing happened
Got stretched a cm - nothing much still happened (this all over again 2-3hr period)
Got the drip and 1 and a half hours later she was here. It was incredibly intense,  litterally went from no pain to agony within 10mins. Took an hour to go from 4cm to 8cm, 15mins to go from 8cm-10cm and 15mins to push. This was my 2nd baby - first came on his own

I was put on pitocin at 8:30am an hour later my water broke on it's own. At 11:39am I delivered my 4lb 12oz little boy. I thought I was going to be in there forever but it was in no time. Just relax as much as possible and breathe through contractions and do not tense it makes them harder. You'll do great!

I was induced 11 yrs ago with my daughter. It was very painful for me.  I wasn't as fortunate as the other girls here. It took 19.5 hrs and the contractions were close and intense. But it was all worth it!  :) Every pregnancy is different.  I am pregnant with a baby boy now and I am praying that it go very well And fast! Lol I pray yours goes by quickly. Congrats!

I was induced with cervadil with my first and never hot pitocin. The doctor broke my water the same day my daughter was born, sorry I don't know how long it was! I was pretty focused on my breathing exercises. But my daughter was born at 7:09 pm with pushing for just a few contractions, I think. It goes by like molasses as it's happening, but then you look back on it and it's all a blur.

With my first I went in for induction and they accidentally broke my water when they were checking me and baby was born about 18 hours later. With my 2nd my water broke at home but wasn't contracting, and 24 hours later baby girl was here.

So they give you the pitocin first and then they break your water? this is my first baby, so I'm not familiar with the process...

I was just under 9 hours to get fully dilated after my waters were broke and my son arrived an hour or so after that by emergency section, though that was from complications, not from being induced x
