thanks so much for all the replies and I was so torn and worried that I didn't go ahead with it! I was thinking about it and thought to myself (and my partner) and decided it can wait until after the baby comes! id never have forgiven myself if I had gone and anything went wrong! x x x
I was suppose to have one done and my doc said no only one place would do it and I had to sign a waver and get a go ahead from doc
Its the safest scan for pregnant women doll. U'll have to tell the radiologist ur pregnant. But dont worry. Its safer than the alternative CT or xRay xxx
I had one with one of my pregnancies, didn't have any problems from it
An MRI uses no radiation whatsoever. The scan in done by way of magnets creating the images. There is nothing to worry about when it comes to your baby.
You should probably let them know that you are pregnant. I was told that MRIs and CT scans were "okay" if they weren't around the abdomen area, but I am still skeptical about it.... Definitely let them know, and call your OB to make sure this is the right thing.
