I am aware they are two different meds, but your wording was poor. I'm a PEDs nurse and do this everyday for a living. Tpud be surprised how many people think they are both given every 4 hours... But again for a vomiting child both are bad choices. Fever All is best

I didnt say every two hours. I said I can give him motrin and two hours later Tylenol. Tylenol and motrin are two different medicines so Yea the Dr says its OK.
After 8 hours have lapsed you can give another dose of motrin.

Nikki4289 if you only give the motrin once its fine, but if you give motrin then 2 hours later Tylenol, then 2 hours later motrin... You've just overdosed your child.

My doc says I can give my son motrin and two hours later Tylenol for a fever. Pedialyte works wonders too. Good luck I hope your little one gets better too

Don't alternate Tylenol and motrin, its not recommended. Pick one and stick with it... Of she's vomiting though you can get "Fever all" is an acetaminophen suppository that way she doesn't need to take anything orally. If she's been vomiting motrin is hard on the stomach.

Try a luke warm bath, cool cloths on forehead,  let her naw on some ice or popsicle,  and do motrin than two hours later the Tylenol and so on and so forth. Good luck hon. Its so tough having a sick one. My three year old went threw this a couple weeks ago. So prayers and good thoughts coming your way. Blessings.
