Help! I'm supposed to be 7weeks+ but today ultrasound measured at a 5 wk 6day sac but NO yolk- NOTHING INSIDE! Empty sac.I'm scared was told to have d and c tonight but have been reading this happens and maybe won't see anything inside till next week ultrasound (which I scheduled)
Everything looks good as far as beta, sac, ext.....but having bad cramps feels like painful menstrual cramps. No blood though. Scared!

At 5 wk 4 started mine was empty as well. I don't know why they'd schedule a d&c so soon that's crazy.  I went Back at 8weeks and saw everything and the heartbeat. I'm sure it with be fine. Sometimes dates are just off. I think about how many people get d&cs right away it makes me wonder how many babies would have been fine.  :-( I'm glad your waiting to be sure. Goldluck

I had menstrual like cramps in early pregnancy. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks and a few days. And the embryo was there but very small. Every day counts. Baby grows VERY fast everyday especially in the first trimester. If your betas are good I wouldn't worry. As long as you're not bleeding.

I wish you well and really do hope that there is a baby in there. I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks, only to find an empty sac that had stopped growing at 6 weeks. (4 years ago) i had a d&c a week after the ultrasound. It was the hardest thing I have ever been through, but I got through it. I am now 32 weeks with a healthy baby girl. No matter what... things will get better. Just try not to freak out before the next ultrasound.
