Placenta previa and pains

Hi ladies,  I had my 18 week scan this week and have major placenta previa (placenta covers cervix completely.)
Has anyone else had this? I know there is a minute chance it might resolve but else I am in for a high risk pregnancy apparently. (Massive haemorrhage risk, have to avoid sex/over exertion and risk of prem baby if Placenta does tear as uterus stretches).  All really scary.
To add to this I have had pains throughout my pregnancy so far which until I got my scan presumed it was from everything just stretching up and my endometriosis scarring.
In the last week or so I've been getting funny feelings in different places in my tum which I wondered if they were movements but they are actually a bit (pathetic I know) painful rather than being nice. I have kept quiet but have never heard anyone feel baby movements as uncomfortable.  I am a FTM.  Am I just paranoid?!

I am glad I was of help. Take it easy.  Thanks for the wishes. Watch out for my post after the baby is out. I sent you a note, I am note sure if it goes to your email. I am tired, heavy and can't wait for Monday.  It is such a long journey but worth it.

Yes, good idea I will ask for home bed rest instead... (am 10mins drive from hospital max anyway and hubby works from home).
Thanks for your help and wow, this time next week you'll have your baby in your arms.  Brilliant!:-)

All the best for Monday too!
What a long journey for you.
And yes my husband is doing all the suitcase lifting and looks after me well, and I got to by maternity clothes with my sister who I haven't seen for a year and a half.  I meet my baby niece this week and my toddler nephew to my eldest brother (who I last saw 4years back).  I pray I've made the right choice from a risk point of view but feel so happy being near my mum at this point.
Thanks for your help and I will be careful and follow the advice given!

Oh wow. .lucky you on vacation.  Enjoy it. In hospital bedrest,  you can suggest that you will be home and  behave.

Yes am still working - am actually on holiday for 4 weeks in Europe visiting my parents and siblings. I haven't bled so midwife said as long as I go to hospital immediately and behave myself I should be fine at this early stage.  They are predicting bed rest in hospital from 28weeks so I wondered how you coped as the thought of that is pretty horrible!

I am at home. Let your hubby do most of the work if he can. At times it becomes tough for me to move especially if I go shopping and walk for a while. You feel alot of heaviness.

Thanks, I am trying to be good and am reassured you got to 37weeks- I just want a healthy baby (and not to bleed to death in the process.) how did you keep yourself from going nuts on bed rest? Were you in hospital or at home?

It shall be well with you. I have placenta Previa as well and was put on bedrest at 29 weeks. Since they found out 12th week,  I was advised to avoid since. So follow what they have told you. I had bleeding whenever I went to the bathroom during first trimester but it them stopped.  I made a mistake and made and road trip when I was 29 weeks but I had inquired with my doctor but that night, I woke up bleeding heavily.  I advise you to limit your activities.  I am now having my baby next week on Monday and road 37 weeks by C-section. Good luck.
