27 weeks and getting a tooth pulled

I had a tooth pulled earlier in my pregnancy and swore I would never do it again. But here I go again one of my back teeth cracked and came off. So, I am in pain at 27 weeks I dont think I can make it til due date. Going to get it pulled tommorrow but very worried anyone else have a tooth pulled this late in pregnancy?? Or does anyone know the risk of having a tooth pulled this far along??

By now your sister has probably received the help  she needs. I hope she has found some pain relief.

It sounds as though something went wrong with her extraction. Did it hurt WHILE it was being pulled? Or just after the local wore off? If it was during...don't EVER go back to that dentist...he/she should have stopped and given more local until it was completely numb (my son and I are both very hard to anesthetize so I have had this issue come up many times...and our dentist's have always stopped, given more local and then moved on when we were completely numb).

My sister is 24 weeks pregnant and today she had her tooth pulled and they gave her loritab and it is not working and she is screaming in pain and passing out from the tooth being pulled so my brother in law is taking to the er to see what can be done. What do you suggest?

Completely fine.  I was back and forth to the dentist for a root canal during my 1st pregnancy, in the 2nd and 3rd trimester.  Dentists and Endodontists are very aware and cautious whiile servicing the expecting patient.  Digital xrays are more common now, instead of the clunky radiation camera--and the novacaine and pain meds are compatible and safe during pregnancy as well.  Just make sure you mention it, and remiind them throughout your procedure.  Having a toothache can be extremely uncomfortable whether you're pregnant or not, rest assured---get it fixed!

I'm 31 weeks and need a tooth pulled before delivery. I don't think there is any added risk. I was just told that I will need a note from my Dr stating that they can do the dental work. And of course we are limited in what pain meds we can use afterwards.
