5 Weeks pregnant

Hi, I am five weeks gone. I decided to go for a sacan todat to fing that they can see a sac and all that is ok for a prgnancy. I am worried that i might not have this baby. But trying to be positive. I have lost two already five years ago.
Is it too early still to see anything. Plus the scans here are old. I will be going to South Africa on the 14th to see a doc there?

Please tellme all is ok etc.

Yes, Yvette is right...the sac is visible. But it looks like nothing - it won't make you feel any better. That is what I meant.

You should be able to see a gestational sac at five weeks.  This looks like a big black dot.  I think even old equipment sees this pretty easily.   I disagree with SoCalTricia...you will see the gestational sac if the pregnancy is inside of your uterus.   You may even see the yolk sac.  By 7 weeks you should see the heartbeat.  Good luck to you.   If you are going to your scan 5 weeks by choice, try to hold off until 7 weeks.  You will see more that will confirm it's a viable pregnancy.

At just five weeks, you won't be able to see anything. You should be able to see a heartbeat by about 8 weeks. You may still be too early on the 14th to see much. But good luck...stay positive and take extra-good care of yourself! Please keep us updated...
