54 days late. 39 years old

All tests are negative. Blood and urine. Having a sonogram next week. Could I still be pregnant and the hcg just not showing up?

Thanks for your responses. My periods have never done this before and I have had one ectopic back in 2000 and didn't have any symptoms of pregnancy until I starred to bleed. But the pain which is supposed to be associated with it I never experienced.  My other two pregnancies didn't come with any symptoms either only a missed period which I found out about around 12 weeks

Symptoms really don't determine pregnancy. If you were to be at least 8 weeks along it would have definitely shown on a urine or blood test because the hCG levels would be pretty high at that point. An ultrasound would be looking for a baby, or maybe anything else that could be delaying your period. Cysts for example are well known to cause this, so they would be looking for those too.

My hormone tests all came back with no problems so she set me up for a sonogram. What would the sonogram be looking for exactly. And no I have not one symptom. Maybe increase in appetite and high sense of smell but also my tubes are tied. Could it be ectopic. I would be at least 8 weeks along

Unlikely you're pregnant. Only in a very few rare cases doesn hCG never show up on urine or blood tests. Blood tests pick up hCG levels how ever much they are, so if you have any levels that are over 5 or 10 (which is what they look for to indicate pregnancy) then it should have been seen.

There are a few rare cases this has happened, and it only showed on ultrasound. But most likely reason is you're not pregnant and something else is delaying your period. Early menopause could be the reason due to your age, stress, hormone imbalance, cycts or a sudden change in weight or diet can also be a cause.
