My first took a lot less time than the second. I was induced both times for pre eclampsia. But I had the same amount of pain and tearing.

My 1st one was 3 1/2 hours from waters breaking to her being born I was 16 and every one said it would take hours. 2nd one was 11 hours. I was 18 with her.I was having little pain all night with my 3rd but from the 3 cm to head coming out took about an hour. 7 hours from 1st pains.

Wow so it all happened pretty quick then. Some people have said to me 3rd labors are the tricky ones and some have said they tend to be really quick, I'm hoping its all quite fast lol x

With my 3rd I when in at 3 cm I said oh only 7 to go and the midwife said no you only have to get to 5 cm. Well she left the room my waters pop and hit the wall. Then the next thing I knew I felt the burning pain.knew his head was out the bf ran out the room to get the midwife back.

I'm preggers with #3 as well and I'm already fantasizing that this labor and delivery will be better.  I have had to have pitosen for the first two.  Just this once I would love to have my cervix behave and open like it is supposed to.  And that my contractions will stay steady until the end and not slow down or stop like the past two.  A girl can dream.
