Any 1 have or had placenta previa

just did some searching about it and I'm kinda worried my low lying placenta might turn into this.....from what I can tell it's more common with multiples and is detected more accurately around 16 weeks by abdo. u/s.....here's what I found about it

I had one with DD and it moved up just fine.  I have one with this preg too, but I'm not that worried about it.  My doc says 90% of the time they move up.

I had al ow lying placenta at 18week doc said it was  a little low but nothing to worry about they might take another look at it down the road. I was not given any instructions of light duty, no lifting, no sex nothing. He said he was not concerned at all? so how weird.,now I am 28w1d and I have a 4D U/S next week, voluntary one, we want to see our lil guy sooo bad so I think I will ask where my placenta is now. I too read that it almost always moves up, very common with older mommies, more babies, and multiples!

I had placenta previa at 16 weeks (and had to go on LIGHT duty and NO SEX honest) at 20 it was low lying (still light duty and NO SEX)  and by 24 it was A-OK.  It is very common.  I would check on the light duty and sex thing...it sucked still havent BD'd LOL

I was told the same thing at my 16 wk u/s but they said it's normal and 95% of women dont have it by the end of the second trimester, I go tommorow for my 18wk visit then there going to give me another u/s to see if the placenta moved up as it usally does I cant lift anything heavy or have sex until then and belive me I am a worried person like you wouldnt belive, but I think it will move up , I read up on it too and I think in my case this is my 7th child and Im 37 the more children, multiples ect it can happen but with a 95% chance of it moving up Im not going to let it drive me too crazy.

yeah he said I didn't need to do much of anything but rest when I'm home and don't pick up anything over 5 lbs......I'm kinda worried about it in the sence I would have to have a c-section and  I really want to deliver naturally.

My cousin had this with her first but as the uterus grows, the placenta will usually be moved away from the cervix.  Hers did and she delivered a healthy baby girl.  You are still early into your pregnancy, try not to worry about it unless your doctor confirms it.  However, since the placenta is low, take it easy.  Don't do any more than you have too.
