I know we're not suppose to during pregnancy..but at the end of the pregnancy, is it safe to get into a hot tub?

Didn't know about rupturing the membranes but I figured that sex  could mess with my cervix, dilate it more or something and bring on contractions...  Even if I tell dh that it's not gonna bring on labor, he's gonna want sex anyways..he's always up for it! lol

LOL well hum....they say sex in late pregnancy will sometimes rupture your membranes....but they say if it doesn't work the first time then it probably isn't going to for you....LOL that's what they told us in our birthing classes.....but hey you don't have to tell DH heck he might as well enojoy the attention while he can get it LOL.....

DONT DO IT!!!!!  Thats how I went into labor the first time and ended having my daughter in the emergency room!!!  After doing a few laps in the pool, I decided to sit in the hot tub, when I looked up at the sign that stated that pregnant women should not be in the tub.  I ended up going through most of the labor at home, because I thought it was false labor.  I was due 2 weeks later and was in denial. :-)  Anyway, after 10 hours of labor at home, and fully dialated when I woke up in the morning, we  rushed to the emergency room and I gave birth 10 minutes later.

Wow, I was just wondering that. I am due next week and my back is killing me. It hurts so bad that I can't even sleep. I would love just soak in our hot tub.  Mine is the bathtub kind where you can control how hot it gets. I am just to scared to try it.
