please help me pray for my friend

last week i posted that my friend who has overcome cervical cancer and other obstacles to getting pregnant was finally pregnant after many years of trying

she went back to the doc and found out she was about 15 weeks pregnant at the time...the doc did all the testing that should have been done from the beginning

she had the triple screen done and the doc called her last week with some news...she has an increased chance of having a baby with spina bifida....she was crying on the phone to me for almost 2 hours and i wish i could just have taking her pain away....i told her that maybe its a false positive...these things happen

she said she's seen her baby kicking a lot and has heard the heartbeat...i told her there's still hope

this thursday she has an u/s to check the status of the baby and check if the baby does indeed have spina bifida....please pray for her....

i pray that everything is ok with her baby and she has the strength to get through these next few days....

thanks ladies...she is living in PA and i moved to NC...im just about 3 months preg and planning a surprise trip to see her in april....i cant wait

she is due july 4....she truly has a little miracle in the making :)

i just got off the phone with my friend and the baby is ok...the baby does not have spina bifida...im so happy for her....

You're welcome!! Yeah, hopefully she tries not to worry until she gets another test done or a second opinion!

thank you...she had no idea she was preg so they arent even sure if she is 15 weeks...it was a guess which very well could be her situation....

i also advised her to get a 2nd opionion

i know in my heart everything is fine...i just feel helpless that she's going through this and i was going to ask her to be the godmom of my baby...ive decided to hold off a bit on asking her

I absolutely feel her pain! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. But let me tell you, a few weeks ago my AFP test came back positive 2 times. I had to have a level ll ultrasound done and the baby was fine! The wait was horrible and you ladies here got me through the wait and kept me thinking positive! Do you know what her numbers were? Mine was 2.6 and then the second was 2.9 which was a greater chance so I was really freaking out. Then the conclusion was that they had my due date wrong! By two weeks!! I pray that this is the case for her or that the test is just wrong! A lot of times it is wrong! I was also 15 weeks when I had my test done.
I will keep her in my prayers!!
