@Ids1710 Are the belly bands like a girdle or are they something special they sell for after birth? I have not seen those around yet. I am definetely not looking forward to the pain, especially because I have to go up to a third floor apartment.

@mountainbreezy good to know, with natural births the period is grosse lol and last quite some time, inhope this one just lasts a week like yours. I'm having a boy, he's due December 9. Four weeks ago he was weighing over 8 pounds, and on my last check up he was still way up. My dr recommended me to have a csec to prevent any complications.

I have had 4 c-sections.   Each one got easier.   I recommend the belly band an elastic back brace type that goes around your abdominal area.  The extra support helped with the pain because it really hurts to move and they want to get you up and moving right away after surgery usually within 12 hours.  It hurt much worse when I tried to move without the band.  I didn't get a period while I was breastfeeding & 6 weeks after my daughter was born I got the Mirena iud and went 4 years without a period.  Just had it removed in September it was my 2nd one and I had a baby in between using the 2 iuds.

Yj1217 hi I didn't start my period right away but did bleed for more than a week but it slowed over time. I guess that's normal didn't have a real period for about for about 6 weeks. I stayed in the hospital for 3 days. I asked for early release but my son had jaundace ?? they said I could go but he had to stay under the lights so I stayed too because I wasn't about to leave him there alone!!! good luck. do you know what your having? I'm having a girl this time.
