Doctor said baby is not in a hurry to arrive

My doctor appointment went well this afternoon, except that there has been no progress in 2 weeks, I'm still 1-2 cm and he said my cervix is still way up high, so baby is probably not going to be arriving any time soon. Guess I can relax a little and not be expecting my water to break at any moment. Maybe I'll even get a few more things done around the house and for work. I just feel like I'm in limbo because I was mentally preparing for baby to be here already this week.

I'll be running some errands over the next few days too. I had been sticking close to home with the thought that baby could arrive at anytime. However, with yesterday's update, now I'm not as worried. I may even make a trip to the gym tomorrow and spend some time on the treadmill. Maybe all the walking will help things start to progress . . . wishful thinking.

went shopping today, 6 different people asked me when i was due. when i said tomorrow, every one of them asked me what i was doing out and about. i was like, hey, she's in no hurry to get here, and i've got things to do. ha-ha. they thought i was crazy. my dr won't even talk about inducing just yet, till i'm past my due date. hopefully, if she doesn't come before, he can tell me something next tuesday. oh, the waiting is killing me!

melimeli, ooh, thank you!  that brought my hopes back up. Scheduled c-section date isn't until next Friday and I really am hoping/praying baby decides to arrive before then.

lissamjr, looks like we're in the same boat. Nice to have company while we wait for these babies!!!

dont be so sure... I was dilated 1 and 1/2 very think but at a station -2.. up high.. and I gave birth the next day... when I went into labor I was still at a 2cm... and  it onlly took me 7 hours total to have her... good luck!  .. my sign was for 2 days before I was pooping like 5 times a day... they say your body tries to clean out before birth... and the night before I was cleaning at like 10pm.. haha... good luck

my dr said the same thing yesterday, except i haven't dilated at all, and due date is friday. guess this will probably be a june baby if something doesn't happen soon. oh well, like dr said, this baby is not concerned about due dates, she'll be ready when she's ready. lol.
