is anyone else waiting till delivery?

Long ago I decided that when I got pregnant., I would wait until delivery to find out the gender of the baby. Is anyone else taking the same path? I just think that's the ultimate surprise, not finding out I the doctors office, but the moment the baby takes its first breathe. Not to knock anyone else's decision to find out early ! Also can you provide reasons why you waited?

We found out with our first and waited with our second...I swore if we ever had another that we'd wait again...delivery was very special for both, but there's just something extra amazing and emotional when you finally find out boy or girl!

It's been a lot of fun with the older kids too, back and forth, boy or girl.  We've switched guesses a couple of times each :) the waiting, guessing and anticipation has been so much fun.

I didn't want to know with any of my babies but dear husband is very inpatient.  He cannot keep anything a surprise.

I waited with my last 10yrs ago. I did it cause I was told I couldn't have anymore kids so I took it as more than a blessing from god so I did everything natural

Yay mama! Me too! My darling other half has always been a can't-shake-presents-before-christmas kinda guy and says baby's gender is one of the only true surprises in life. Makes it more exciting I think! And I have found some gorgeous gender-neutral clothing so I am happy on that front too, not just the usual insipid greens and yellows...

I do want to find out, so I can know if I should get girl things or boy things. I just really don't like the neutral stuff. However I don't want to tell my kids because they are insisting that it must be a boy, and they each want to be the one to name him (if he is a boy). And I just realized as I was typing this comment, I won't be able to keep it secret from them if I have all girl things or all boy things...lol

I would love to wait. But sadly to say I just couldn't. I believe it's very special and exciting. I think it's a great choice. My grandmother said it made the whole experience more exciting
