My amnio is all done......yipee!!
Well we went in for the amnio and ultrasound. Everything looked great. The amnio was no big deal at all. I just stayed calm through the whole process and held the hubbys hand - well maybe I squeezed it (I think I heard some of his knuckles crack - ha ha). They kept saying everything looked great and didn't see any problems. The doctor mentioned a soft marker, but wasn't at all concerned about it. I go back in a few weeks for another ultrasound because there were a few things that were hard to make out only because it was too early. I'm 17wks. They said at 19 weeks, they would have a clearer picture. We were able to find out the sex. It was unanimous, both the ultrasound nurse and the doctor say we're having A BOY!!!! They are about 95% sure. We are so excited. We were hoping for a boy. We will get the FISH results either Friday or Monday, so I was happy about that.
Ahh - I'm just so happy the amnio is over and we are having a boy. That is the best news of the day. We're both pretty confident that the results will be fine.

Yay!! Another healthy little member of Team Blue!!! Congrats and I am so glad your experience was as easy as mine was (although I too squeezed the heck out of DH's hand...lol). Look forward to hearing the good news when you get your results! Then it's kick back and relax time!!
Congrats on your little boy! That's great news :) I agree that a soft marker isn't something to worry about. I'm pregnant w/twins. My girl had one soft marker & my boy had two, but there were no supportive markers & the amnio showed two perfectly normal little babies :) Congrats again & enjoy celebrating your baby boy news! :)

Hi Lynn CONGRATULATIONS!!! I have been waiting to hear how you got on. I'm so glad everything went well. And you're having a boy!! I'm sure you're thrilled no matter what! I'm so happy for you x I'm sure you were amazed to see your little boy on the screen. Hasn't he changed since your first scan??!! Take care of you both and your hubby and keep me posted xx
