Low HCG numbers

Any input it greatly appreciated.

+ hpt October 12.  LMP 9/14.  OV 9/29 per BBT. Brown spotting from Oct. 7, red bleeding with clots started Oct. 15.

HCG this past monday 73; 48 hours later only 90.  OB wants another HCG test tomorrow and then will see me on Monday.

What does anyone think is going on?  I am very concerned about the lower than average HCG levels. Again, any insight is welcomed.  DH and I completely thought we lost our baby when I bleed last Friday.  So, really the worst is behind us but now, I really would like a definative answer. I do understand only the numbers and sonogram will give me that but just looking for opinions or if this happened to anyone else.

Thanks

Yes exactly, means your body is still working....and hey, don't count this out yet.

On my 2nd pregnancy, I went in at 6 weeks 6 days and there was no heartbeat, however there was a sac.   they made me wait a week and come back in.    Still no heartbeat but now a yolk sac.    Made me wait another week and then decided it probably wasn't progressing.    I KNOW what you mean about frustrating and just wanting an answer.    But alot of people get good news from their patience.

Its never over until it over, you might just be one of the lucky ones.   Try to hang in there.   Its always easier though if you find something exciting to do to pass the time, but I know you mind will probably always be on your belly :).

Stay strong.

Thanks for responding.  I just want an answer like yesterday!  The waiting is enough to drive me crazy.  At least we have plans to be out of town this weekend with good friends, so that will make the time go faster.

Just trying to focus on all the good I have in my life. And this was the first pg that we concieved on our own so that's something, right?!!?

My 2 pregnancies last year that started with low betas ultimately ended in m/c.    My first pg. first beta was 98 and only went to 105 - 48 hours later.   Lost that baby 1 week later.

2nd pregnancy - started at 58 but then went to 134 - 48 hours later and continued to double, but no heartbeat was ever seen, lost that one at 10 weeks, but it stopped growing at 6 weeks.

3rd pregnancy - started at 314 and 48 hours later was 850.    This pregnancy is 14 weeks along.

My luck has been very bad starting out with low numbers, however I know many many many women on here that have started with low numbers and have healthy babies in their arms right now in spite of those numbers.    They can mean everything....they can mean nothing.    Unfortunately you have to wait it out and see which way you go with this.

I wish you the best of luck, my thoughts will be with you and hoping for a great outcome.
