It happened with me during my first, i used to eat all junk n gained 20 kgs weight bk then by the end of term. Its really hard to put off all that weight n takes much time but as u mentioned u used to work out before. It may not be an issue for you, plus you also reduce weight while you breat feed your infant.
Just keep it out of the house and eat more fruit which is sugary like candy. And some Larabars or KIND bars with dark chocolate, which are just as satisfying as candy bars but much, much healthier. I was eating really healthy too until recently I bought Dunkin Donuts donut holes and then again and again and again. And bought a tub of ice cream. I definitely started craving more crap at 37 weeks. I didn't crave any of it before.
I am 38 weeks and have gained 25 lbs. Best not to gain it so you don't have to work to lose it!!
Thank you for all of your advice. I actually had a Kind bar today. I actually don't keep the junk In the house, but I eventually get out to do a road trip to buy it. Yesterday it was so bad I sent one of my staff to buy 3 McDonald's chocolate chip cookies over her lunch hour. I had her interrupt my manager meeting to deliver them to me. I was desperate. I don't even like McDonald's. Lucky it's not every day, buy when it happens I feel so guilty. I am going to really work overtime to get it off. I have barely gained 20 lbs (with my first child 18 yes ago I gained almost 100 lbs). Lucky I don't have much longer to go.
I'm 37 and have always struggled with my weight. I was like you toward the end of my pregnancy eating sweets and junk. I would even wake up in the middle of the night and have to eat a snack because I was starving all the time. My daughter is a month old and I weight 15 lbs less than I did before I got pregnant thanks to breast feeding. I wouldn't stress too much about it. Your baby is growing a lot faster and uses up more of your calories. If you plan on breast feeding, the baby weight will come off fast. Best of luck!
