I had one about 8 months after birth (and it was horribly long and disgusting) , and I only breastfed for about 3 months with part time after that, stopping when she was 6 months old. It took me about a full year to finally have a normal period... Did you ever go on any kind of BC or did you breastfeed? These things can definitely confuse your system. Also, I've heard your thyroid can cause some issues too..
I had the same issue! My doctor said more than likely it is a hormonal issue. And not menopause. There is an option of hormone therapy for a few months to get your balanced out again. I went to the doctor when my son was 12mo only to find out I was pregnant again! Im due in Sept with my 2nd son!
A friend of mine had this happen - no periods for more than a year. She was breastfeeding and also trying to get pregnant again. I think reducing the frequency of the breastfeeding got her period to come back after a couple more months - and then she got pregnant again! :)
Nope, mine always started about 3 months after birth. Are you breastfeeding? I've heard that can effect your periods.
