Anyone diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis?

I am 35 weeks today and will be 36 weeks tomorrow.  My doctor informed me that I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis should I be scared or worried?  I feel so alone on this?  Any advice?

Ive had it and did some reading and if you take a short bath with only about 3-4"of water and add apple cider vinegar to your bath it helps balance your ph naturally.

@BOOLAY648: BV has a lot of the same characteristics as a yeast infection.. itchiness, irritation, sensitivity, burning, just all of those UGH things!! lol your OB or GYN can easily take a quick swab & tell you what it is. praying I don't have it any time soon, but it's not hard to get. I changed my soap, perfume, everything.. but none of that had anything to do with it. it was just my own body being a pain!!! lol

I haven't had "BV" during my pregnancy, but I used to get BV quite a bit before pregnancy.. I also was prescribed something to insert in my vagina for a week or so every night while in bed. as stated above me, it's just your own body's pH changing and it's very common.

I used to get yeast infections all the time, but the BV was the worst! it's nothing bad, it'll go away! ((:

Don't worry too much about it its just a change in your vaginal pH I had it several time at the beginning of my pregnancy they just gave me some cream to take insert and it will clear it right up. My doctor told me it shouldn't hurt the baby as ling as treated in a timely manor
