Labor nightmares, anyone?

I'm 37+2 & I have been having nightmares about labor since my dr told me to watch out for signs of it which might happen any sooner. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with heavy sweats, as if the baby isn't enough to keep me up as well. I just don't get it why she has to let me pass through labor when cs is a big possiblity since baby's in breech presentation. It's really frustating!

Aw hun dont be afraid I heard so many horror stories from other mums about THERE labour when I was pregnant with my first sometimes id go home and cry for hours because of what I heard but when it finally happened to me I didnt get what all the fuss is about as said above they do hurt but there not complete agony in saying that everyones labour is different weather it progresses fast or slow, strong or not so strong contractions its all different! As for the epidural is not bad at all dont stress over that I didnt feel a thing when I had it :)

No problem hun if you need to talk just shout and I'll try and help as much as I can but for now just try and relax and remember even if youre still frightened of the pain just hold on to knowing that the pain does end and when it's all over you'll have the most beautiful baby girl in your arms :) it's all worth it. I'd do it again tomorrow if I could and im a wimp when it comes to pain lol

Thank you 1sttimemummy! Guess I'll have to learn to put fear on the side so I can have my goodnight sleep again. Maybe it's the excitement of having her soon that triggers it.

I had my little girl in the early hours of sat morning,Im a first time mum and was scared of going into labour but honestly it's not half as bad as you imagine. I had spontaneous labour at 32+5 and was 6cm dilated before I got to hospital - baby breach with a foot poking through my cervix - I won't lie contractions do hurt but it's not agony. I needed an emergency section so I've no idea how pushing feels but dont be afraid of an epidural I didn't feel it apart from a little coldness followed by the tingling as the numbness took over. Please don't be afraid of labour, people only usually hear horror stories about how painful it is but really it isn't that bad. You can do it! I hope this helps in some way
