How long should I expect to spot after a miscarriage

As most of you know, I miscarriage at 19 weeks.  I had the baby natural, but also had to have an D & C because the placenta wouldn't come out on it own.  I am spotting brown plus some light bleeding.  The m/c was on June 14.   When should I expect my normal cycle?  I know everyone is different, I just wanted some information on how long you could spot before you see a normal cycle.  Thanks ladies in advance for all that take time out to give me some feed back.

Sincerely,
Yolanda

Oh Yolanda, how my heart hurts for you.

All of my losses were first trimester, with 3 of them resulting in D&C's.  For me it is typically about 5 weeks.  It is different for everyone.

If the bleeding is more then spotting, and has lasted more then 2 weeks, you need to follow up with your Dr.  Also, if the bleeding gets really heavy, more then a pad an hour, you must seek emergency treatment.

If in another week or two no period, you can also see your Dr. and he/she can give you something to force ovulation, and then of course AF.

I'm so sorry Yolanda, and I wish you peace and healing.  XOXO
