Funny, because I am 12DPO & I have been bloated, headache, edgy some heart burn......EVERY day for about 8-9 days now. (but I am on crinone 8% once @ night) & I was just leaving a friend a note telling her that I have an achy feeling in my lower belly, which reminds me of the feeling I would have before I always got my BFP's.
Not saying I am pg right now, cuz I'm kinda loosing hope;( But it is true for me as well, that I get VERY real pms symptoms when I am newly pg, then @ about a day or two after I would find out I was, my achy lower belly would feel normal again...well, until it grew;)
Good luck this month;o}
I totally understand what your saying, but just want to offer a word of caution....every women and every pregnancy is different. Symptoms are not the best way to determine pregnancy, and pretty much all Dr.`s will say that. The only reason I say that is if you are experiencing multiple miscarriages, but don`t know due to not having pregnancy confirmed, you may be missing out on testing that can help determine why. Also, typically a chemical pregnancy is much like AF but late. It will almost never start on the day AF was actually due. Mine were almost always a week or so later then normal, and much heavier. If you suspect pregnancy, put your mind at ease and take a hpt, or have a blood test done. It is the best and really only certain way to determine a pregnancy. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you...I hope this is it!!!!
Symptoms can never be taken as a sign of pregnancy. The only thing that means anything is a positive HPT or blood test.
Thanks I know what you mean, of course the only way to know for sure is a HPT I just don't like buying one to find out 5 days before my missed AF it just is of no point. As I mentioned earlier, my periods are usually very uneventful and my PMS is about 2-3 days before so paying attention to my symptoms are very important. In fact even online it says that after conception symptoms are in fact PMS symptoms. I remember from my last time being pregnant. At least for me it was a dead give away! I don't usually have miscarriages monthly if I gave anyone that impression. I believe this year I may have only felt three this way. Once in January where I was even a week late on my AF, in August I was 3 days early and the other presently. My AF is usually like clockwork on time! I sure will be testing on the 29th if I don't get any AF by then. All the times I have ever felt these early symptoms it always tested negative. Probably tested after I got my AF so I don't really know officially if I was pregnant or not. Maybe I will just spend the money and find out as soon as I have the onset of these symptoms although now it's too late because my AF is due tomorrow. Darn! I could have tested well over 5 days ago. Oh Well, I'll not soon enough! I'll keep you posted!
I don't blame you for not wanting to do an early test. They are really most accurate when used after AF due date. I just don't think it's a good assumption that if you get AF that it's a miscarriage, not just plain old AF. That can really mess with your mind, and symptoms are just not a good way to determine. They can mean so many other things as well. Good luck, I hope it's positive!
Hi Alba!
Yes, this is something I've often thought about, too - that early pregnancy symptoms can be EXACTLY like PMS. Although I have not been pregnant yet (that I know of), I realize now that I should not get bummed out as soon as I feel those sore BBs and mood swings - because, who knows? You know?
So far I've always gotten AF before I've reached for the pee sticks, but I have some on hand for the next time AF's A MINUTE late. LOL!
Best wishes,
~Wendy
I was pregnant last year with twins (halas it ended up in a miscarriage) and I guessed I was pregnant because I had terrible migraines after ovulation. Funny because of the migraines I had taken an early test at day 12 after ovulation that was negative! It was positive at day 17.
Paying attention to your symptoms is a great way to monitor your whole body because your body does let you know when things are happening for the good or bad and can help you determine what is going on within your body and whether or not your in need of something.
Well, it's the 28th and nothing yet not a spot! I am not going to take the test till tomorrow to make sure. This way I will now whether or not I was pregnant at all. I'll tell ya, today I don't have as much PMS symptoms as the past 8 days or so. Yes, I'm still a bit bloated, but overall I feel much better. Believe it or not, that's how I also felt last time I was pregnant with my son. Usually when I get my AF I feel less bloated and my PMS subsides for the most part. This time I have no bleeding yet my symptoms have all but gone. Hummmm........
Makes ya wonder! Thank God my headaches have also gone!!! I was so worried about the aspirin I took for a few days. I went on line to see what was the harm really in taking them during the 1st trimester and it is not good at all. It could really hurt the developing cardiac system of the baby. I will refrain from taking them any more, good thing I have only had 3 pills only in a 2-3 day period. They sooooo helped so much! Damn! I'm hope they don't come back too often because when it comes to headaches I'm such a baby!!! I do have some homeopathic stuff that well, works on occasion It's called Dr. Hyson's Headache system. I bought it a little while back. Wanted to make sure that I was going to be taking a safe alternative to aspirin. I have used it before, but it doesn't work as fast or as effective as my aspirin. I guess it's better than nothing. I've also been taking prenatal for ever just in case. Because ya never know! Keep you all posted.:) :)
Ok, it is 8:30 p.m. on Saturday the 28th and I got some light pink spotting. I guess you would call it. So, I don't know exactly what that might be. So I will not think of the worst because it could also be residual discharge. I did also have that with my son when I was pregnant before. I still feel that bloat I can't seem to get rid of. Maybe it's better that way. Still a good sign. Oh Well, that's the update so far.........
I had major PMS, bloating and cramping a week earlier than expected, then nothing a week later when I was expecting my period. I was pregnant! Of course, the only way to know for sure is with a test. Good luck!
Hi JoJo! WoW! you really were pregant? Is this with the baby you are expecting next Feb? That's awesome! I guess a lot of ladies are starting to put 2 & 2 together and realizing this PMS symptoms way before your AF is very common! More than people realize. I'm so glad that I asked this question because I myself didn't know till just recently that conception symptoms are PMS for a fact!!!!! Now I Know!
for years I've always noticed bloating before AF's arrival but I also had it when I got pregnant. It is a 50/50 thing and can go either way, but it is never a for certain thing til you test positive. My fingers and toes are crossed for you! Btw I had pink discharge, no red, during my pregnancy. It only stuck around for a couple days. I was like 3-4 weeks pregnant at the time, very early.
Yup, the symptoms were with this pregnancy (I'm currently 28 weeks). I was sooooo bitchy and cranky and crampy, but I didn't put 2 & 2 together until I got the positive result. I'm guessing it was around implantation (a week after insemination & a week before I was expecting my period). I was positive I wasn't pregnant because I was so PMS.
Did you test yet? I have my fingers crossed!
Well, I just tested this morning and the test came back negative :( Boo Hoo Oddly enough I still feel abnormally bloated, crabby, emotional, bitchy, all of the above! my discharge is not just pink though it seems like my normal AF. I will test again in a week or two just in case especially if I don't get rid of these PMS symptoms! I used one of those less expensive brands that you have to wait till the days after your AF is missed. So, I will get a 5 day before AF I know it costs more but I just might have to. Just to know what the heck is going on. God! This is so frustrating! Ughhhhhhh! :(((((
all your PMS symptoms are like mine b4 I get af except the headaches and I too had them when I got pregnant. It isn't always an indicator as I already said since they are typical PMS symptom. Just give it a few more days. I tested positive 6-7 days after ovulation and I used clearblue regular and digital. I really hope it works out for you this month xoxo
I'm so sorry to hear about your result. The key for me in getting through the whole fertility thing was putting my blinders on and moving forward after every negative result. Easier said than done...
well me and my boyfriend have been TTC since February. but it hasn't happened yet but about 3wks ago I was peeing and I wiped and there was like 2 little drops of blood like right after you prick your finger to check your blood sugar and then it stopped and happened again the next day well then I started to eat about a week later and all the food did was touch my tongue and I got sick and its still happened a few times after that well last week when my AF was due I bled only 4 days instead of 7which is a lot of weird and there were no clots like there usually is and I only cramped on my left side when I usually cramp on both. and Thursday I wanted some peach rings which is also weird because I hate them so its kind of like all the foods that I love I'm starting to not like and the ones I don't usually like I want so any advice for me please help
