I'm 39 weeks and 3 days . I haven't dropped yet . and I still haven't dialated . how long does it usually take ??. I'm a first time mom . I am really anxious and ready to see my baby girl . I just want her here . I've tried walking and all but nothings happening . I'm due April 7 .

I'm 38w+6 days (due April 2nd) and my baby dropped when I was 35 weeks and I'm still not dilated. I work 4 days a week and on my feet about 7-8 hours a day. If the baby isn't ready to come out he/she isn't going to. You're just gonna have to wait it out :(

Typically first babies take awhile for labor to begin and sometimes to deliver. A few years ago a medical law was passed that docs cannot have you induced until 40 weeks exactly unless you or the baby are in distress, so I know you want to meet your little girl but its best to wait! Make sure you drink lots of water and walk at least once a day if you want the outcome as natural as possible! Also sperm contains a natural form of oxytocin to get things going but also remember the baby has her own clock because she is perfectly comfy right where she is at!!

I'm 36w+2 and am 2cm dilated. I am still working which puts me on my feet at least 3x a week for 4 hours minimum.  I try to stand up and move around or run errands on my days off as well. Its prolly just smart to be more active. Although I did try eating a lot of basil and I naturally love spicy foods and caffeine. Lol

The only dilation that matters is when you're in actual labour so I wouldn't stress :) and being 37 weeks you have heaps of time really, baby can drop at anytime. My friends first wasn't engaged and over night she went into labour. They're so unpredictable haha
