40 weeks 1 day no contractions

I am a day over my due date and still till this day haven't felt contractions, yet im 3 cm dialated. I do feel pressure at times when he moves like his head pushes down on my area but thats it. This is my first child but I find it weird that I have not felt any contractions. I've tried everything to see if I would go into labor but nothing...I even went bowling last night. I think my mucus plug has come out. Is this normal? I'm nervous I don't want to get induced I heard It hurts.

I was 2 weeks late with my 1st & I ended up being induced.  With my second I was 2 days late. I didn't really have painful contractions with him, just really bad period cramps that increased in frequency. Regardless of whether or not you get induced labor will be painful, but you can get an epidural & the end result will make you forget. After my 2nd I was ready for #3 right away. My husband not so much. Lol

I was 5 days late and a couple of cm dilated with my first with no contractions at all.  When my water finally broke on the 5th day (after a full day of raking the lawn with the hopes if moving things along),  I didn't feel any contractions until I was 5 cm dilated. I'm not sure what's considered normal but I'd check with the doctor since it's causing you some anxiety,  they could maybe ease your mind.  Have a happy delivery, you're about to experience the best gift life has to offer!!
