Sometimes you will have an LH surge (+opk) but not O & then surge "try" again which could be the 2nd +opk. I have had 3 +s before. It could also mean that you caught the surge on the way up & on the way down.
Again, the +opk only means that your body is preparing for O, it doesn't confirm or even guarantee it.
The thermal shift is what confirms that O has in fact happened & you should expect that in a day or two.
Some folks say that the 1st +opk is the only one that matters & to BD from then until the temp shift.
Last month was my 1st hard core charting & I think my stress caused the 3 days of +opks. Add that to my thermal shift being a slow climb, I was unsure about everything.
This month I was MUCH less stressed & obsessed and everything was textbook, really.
CD14, +opk
CD15, I KNOW I O'ed in the afternoon - it was super-painful
CD16, CM change to creamy
CD17, Temp rise of .5 F & CM change to thick & sticky
Don't fret. Relax & enjoy & it will happen.
Namaste!

Yes another pos opk this morning.. So you can bet we will be BD when hubby gets home..:) Now when should my temp spike ? Isn't it have I O?...
I agree, just keep going! The month I got pregnant, I supposedly ovulated around the 16th day of my cycle, but we just randomly BD'ed on day 22 and I just *know* in my heart of hearts that that was the day we actually conceived. Baby's measurements have consistently agreed with that later conception date as well. Ya just never know, so I'd say keep it up for a week or so after ovulation just to be sure!
Oh, I forgot to add...
You should BD tonight too. If you ovulated today (& everything falls on the short side) tomorrow night MIGHT be too late.
Good timing but remember that you can only ever ball-park ovulation. Stress, physical activity, etc. can delay it.

Fugitive gave you all your answers, but I did want to add....keep having intercourse for another 2-3 days just to be safe. Everyday is fine, it is not true that it depletes the sperm level, unless he has a really low count to begin with. Good luck, I hope this is your month!!
An OPK indicates the LH surge which may or may not be followed, 12-48 hours later, by ovulation -- which in turn (if it happens) will be followed, in 24-36 hours by the thermal shift.
SO, the time between a positive OPK & the thermal shift (confirming ovulation) can vary from 36-84 hours or 1.5 to 3.5 days. About...***shrug***
Good luck!!
