POSSIBLE M/C

HI; I JUST FOUND THIS WEB SITE AND I AM HOPING FOR SOME HELP FROM SOME WHO HAVE BEEN THERE TOO! I AM 38 YRS OLD AND AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE 2 HEALTHY SONS AGES 18 AND 12; THIS PAST AUG 24TH I HAD A M/C AFTER 6 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY AND NEEDLESS TO SAY IT STILL SADNESS ME; THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS SCARY AND FRIGHTENING; I WAS RUSHED IN FOR A D/C AFTER HAVING NEARLY BLED OUT; AND YES I HAD SEEN MY OB DAYS BEFORE AND HE HAD COMPLETED A VAG U/S.BUT TOLD ME/ US TO BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST BUT I HAD NO IDEA; WELL WE FOUND OUT THAT I AM ABOUT 7 WEEKS PREGNANT AND THE DR'S OFFICE COULDN'T GET ME IN UNTIL 8 1/2 WEEKS EVEN AFTER EXPLAINING MY AGE AND PREVIOUS M/C; SO I STARTED BLEEDING BRIGHT RED AFTER I URINATE; I CALLED THE OFFICE AND THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO URGENT CARE AND AFTER WAITING 3 HOURS THEY INFORM ME THAT "THEY DONT HAVE EQUIPMENT TO DO ANYTHING." AND BEING IT IS A HOLIDAY I AM AT HOME PLAYING THE WAITING GAME. MY HUSBAND IS OUT OF TOWN AND WONDERED IF BECAUSE OF US HAVING INTERCOARSE BEFORE HE LEFT COULD THIS HAVE CAUSED SOMETHING TO HAPPEN? I HAVE READ ALL I CAN ON THE INTERNET AND JUST FEEL LIKE THOSE OF US THAT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE ARE LEFT "ALONE" AS NO ONE KNOWS WHAT TO SAY; ALL I CAN DO IS PRAY AND CRY. AND I JUST THOUGHT SOMEONE MIGHT BE ABLE TO GIVE ME A LITTLE LIFT NOW; THANKS FOR LISTENING.

NO CRAMPS NOW AND I REMEMBER HOW BAD THE CRAMPS WERE RIGHT BEFORE THE LAST M/C. IT FELT JUST LIKE BIRTHING CONTRACTIONS AND I WAS TOLD AT THAT MY CERVIX HAD DILATED TO A 2? NOW I AM JUST HAVING BRIGHT RED BLOOD WHEN I URINATE. I THINK I ALREADY KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING BUT I JUST HOPE IT IS NOT.THANKS

I'm so sorry for what you're going through.  I think the best thing you can do for yourself right now is to lay down and prop your feet up.  First thing in the morning call your OB and let them know you want your progesterone level tested in case the bleeding is due to low progesterone.  If so, they can prescribe progesterone.  Another potential cause of the bleeding is placenta previa--where the placenta is lying over the cervix.  If you have this condition, it's possible that intercourse can cause bleeding. It may be a long shot, but is it possible that you have a urinary tract infection which would explain why you're bleeding just when you urinate?

I hope everything turns out fine--keep us posted.
My thoughts are with you.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP AND IDEAS. I CALLED MY REGULAR OBGYN WHO IS OUT WITH THE FLU THIS WEEK AND THEN I CALLED ANOTHER OBGYN HERE IN TOWN AND BOTH SAID DUE TO THEIR SCHEDULE THE "BEST" I CAN DO IS JUST GO TO THE ER; AS I AM UNABLE TO GET AN APPT FOR ANOTHER 1 1/2 WEEKS. SO I HAVE DECIDED TO JUST GO TO THE ER IN THE AM; I BELIEVE THAT I KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING AGAIN AS THE BLEEDING AND CRAMPS ARE MORE SEVERE; IN A WAY I JUST HOPED THAT IF I "WISHED" FOR THINGS TO STOP IT WOULD BUT I KNOW WISHING DOES NOT WORK; I HAVE NEVER BEEN TOLD ANYTHING ABOUT PROGESTERONE BEFORE OR EVEN THE POSSIBILITY OF HORMONAL IMBALANCES BUT NOW I WILL DEMAND TO KNOW ANSWERS AND FIND A REASON AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HAVE AN ENTIRE WORK UP AFTER THIS PART IS OVER; WE LIVE IN SUCH A SMALL TOWN THAT IT MAY TAKE GOING ELSEWHERE TO GET ANSWERS BUT I KNOW THERE IS A REASON, THANKS AGAIN FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SEND A NOTE AND I WILL LET YOU ALL KNOW THE OUTCOME.
