Same with me.  In the early stages of pregnancy it had alot to do with anxiety (actually I was extremely anxious throughout my pregnancy).  Also, hormones to crazy things and I believe I have read that most pregnant women have insomnia at various times in pregnancy.

If you are later on in your pregnancy it can also be due to the room being an uncomfortable temperature (I was always too hot and had to have air conditioning on...in winter in Canada..lol), along with an inability to get comfortable.  I bought a snoogle...a body pillow designed for pregnant women that supported my expanding tummy, my back and legs.  It was wonderful and I highly recommend it (I bought mine at Babies r' Us).

One last suggestion...a warm bath before bed and hopefully some "relax" time before bed made a big difference.  A cup of decaf tea also helped a great deal, and deep breathing excersises while laying in bed.

Hope you get some sleep soon!  Congrats on your pregnancy!
