I have an FSH of 6.5. I conceived naturally 3 times between the ages of 37-38, but sadly all 3 pregnancies ended in miscarriage. I tried the fertility drug route and IUI route without success, so I have been TTC naturally (in combination with acupuncture, Eastern medicine, diet and exercise) since March of this year. As adgal said, everyone is different, but I pretty much intend to keep trying until either I have a healthy baby or I hit menopause (I'm currently 39).

I wish you all the luck in the world!

I conceived naturally with an FSH of over 13. It did take over 3.5 years, however. I had tried fertility and had a miscarriage in September of 10. I was about to start the fertility process again, when lo and behold, nature took its course. I am now due in January of 2012. Good luck!!!

While 9 is on the high side, it isn't overly high.  I conceived naturally and carried to term with a fsh of 10.  I had no trouble conceiving at all.  As Sally said, you may want to try fertility meds, or an IUI, but I know of plenty of women here who conceived naturally with fsh levels of 10, 12 even higher in some cases.  As for how long to try?  That's a tough one to answer as everyone is different.  Are you contemplating other options?  Good luck in whatever you choose.

I would say as many as it takes. I to have problems with nmy levels and irregular cycles. The ob/gyn said that we are  to try fertility drugs or maybe a horomone drug to get my levels where they need to be. Soncheck with your dr. again and see about them giving you something to adjust your horomone levels. I hope this helps and that the dr can help you. Keep me posted good luck.

9 is a bit high, but still within what you should have to get pregnant.  Maybe ask your doctor about using clomid  or femara to stimulate good ovulation and combine with IUI.
