Finding out the gender

Has anyone had ultrasound at 18 weeks and was told it's a boy and ended up a girl??? Or do you know of any recent stories that the gender was wrong?? Feeling nervous on ours being wrong since we didn't get to see the potty shot lol but they are saying it's a boy!

I had my ultrasound at 20 weeks and they (two nurses and a doctor) told me it was a girl. They printed out a picture of the ultrasound for me pointing to the what is supposed to be her lady bits. I took it home and compared it to the ultrasound of my first child who is a girl. The "bits" look different to me. So I'm not sure.

Hoping the second is a girl too because I already started buying more pink stuff. But if it's a boy, I would be happy too.

At my scan the technician was not allowed to tell us gender and at 19 weeks they took a picture and sent it to my doctor who confirmed a girl. Then at 21 weeks I had another scan (high risk pregnancy I have them every two weeks) and I told them I already knew it was a girl but asked if they could show me and since I was already told they did and she is definitely a girl . I have two boys already and it was clear as day they had a penis and this time it was clear as day she had a vagina.

I had at 16 weeks an ultrasound in the ER because of some bleeding etc and the tech said its a girl but when I went to my regular ultrasound at 20 weeks it was definetly a boy and so far is still a boy plus the blood test is saying its a boy .

Boys are mistaken for girls more often, so if they say boy, I'd believe it.  I went at 18 wks, they said girl and they were right.

Hey, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I had a friend that was supposed to be a girl but turned out to be a boy :) it's not 100% accurate. Sometimes they get it wrong because the baby isn't in the right position :) Baby sex doesn't really matter to me. Just as long as I have a healthy baby :) Also, I'm opting for not finding out until the birth :) So, it would make it even more of a surprise :) I'm 19 and pregnant with my first baby :) It was a great surprise!  Not planned.

I just had my anatomy scan and was told "maybe a boy" but the tech said his cord was between his legs so she couldn't say for sure. We've felt like it was a boy all along though. Either way I have to go back in 2 weeks cause baby wasn't cooperating and they couldn't get all the measurements they needed. Hopefully we'll get a clearer answer then.

Well all babies start out as females and if its a girl it stays the same and if its a boy the ovaries drop for balls and clit drops for penis its weird but true

Really it's never 100% accurate unless U have an amnio test done, Free Cell DNA or the Harmony tests which test Ur blood for genetics & gender. Otherwise just an ultra sound it's more of a guess. Now that being said usually if they say it's a boy, it's a boy bcuz the penis is pretty much there (I have 2 boys & 1 girl-u could definitely see the penis & the vag for that matter). But I'm surprised they didn't take a snap shot of between the legs. More often it's the other way around. If they say it's a girl the penis can be hiding behind the leg/limbs/etc. happen to a friend they were expecting a girl & got a boy. So it's never 100%. If U go in for another one ask them to get a between the legs shot.

When I was pregnant my radiologist said it looks like a girl but if a boy don't bring it back to me. She said in the beginning they both looks the same. Now I've a beautiful baby 7 months old girl.

Didn't they do that new test at 10 weeks that tells you the gender for sure? It's a blood test. That's what my OB is doing for me.

My friends had 3 ultrasounds about 2.5 years ago where they were told it was a girl every time but came out a boy!
