Update: possible m/c

Update: went to emerg last night. The doctor said that the results were inconclusive, but that I should prepare myself that it's a m/c. I stopped bleeding today but tonight have light spotting. I go to the clinic tomorrow for bw & u/s, so that should help us figure out what's going on. How frustrating. I'm trying to be positive, but it's really hard. Wish us luck.

I am so behind on what's been going on.  Honey, I am so sorry you are going through so much stress.  A couple of things I want to mention..

The HCG levels.  After 1200 the doubling time slows significantly.  Your numbers are still giong up, and that is great!!  They most definately do not double in 24 to 72 hours at that stage, so don't worry about that at all!

As for the hematomma.  Don't know if you remember, but I had that pregnant with Ryder.  So much bleeding, and I was completely convinced I had lost him.  Well, in 2 weeks I celebrate his first birthday.  So while they are scary as all get out, they don't necessarily mean anything.

I will be watching for your u/s results, but you know I am thinking about you!!  Hang in there, there is an excellent chance all is well!  ((((Hugs))))

I spoke with the nurse this morning. She said not to worry about the numbers and that after around 8000, they don't typically double. It's all about the u/s now. My next one is on Wed. Lets hope for a heartbeat! Back to bed for me...

I just saw your post. I am hoping that you just heard the nurse wrong. Thinking of you.

Thanks everyone. The u/s showed a large uterine hemorrhage. I'm supposed to be on bed rest but it's hard with a 10 month old.  Anyhow, then a new nurse called with my beta HCG number and it was TERRIBLE -- I was around 9000 on january 3 then 14000 today, jan 9.  But, she called it a good number ????  Either she didn't know my chart, I heard the number wrong, or someone interpreted it incorrectly. Now I have to wait until tomorrow morning to find out if the numbers are really that bad. I'm trying to stay positive, but with that beta number, it's kind of hard. Sigh.

I also had bleeding around week 10, and turned out to be subchronic hemorrhage, which is more common than I thought, every thing turned out fine, scary but I am now 14 weeks and all is well. So there is hope!! Stay positive...
