This is an article about a young pregnant woman who was trying to use craigslist to get baby clothes.  She was murdered.

PLEASE use care if you go online to buy, sell, or trade anything.  ALWAYS take a second person with you.  Never go inside someones home.  Be sure others know EXACTLY where you will be, and arrange to call a friend or family member while you are gone.  Instruct them what to do (ie, call the police) if you don't call.

Just be careful!  Its not always a friendly world out there.

This is scary...but, like someone else said, I'd never go alone to a stranger's house (well...can't say NEVER, because going to stranger's homes is part of my job). So, I guess put it this way...I'd never go alone to a stranger's house without my Glock!

I know...I saw that after I read the article.  I was completely shocked!!!  I assumed it was a dude! Lots of crazies in this world.  I thought women didn't do sick perverted things like that.   I would definitely be interesting to find out the motive.  

But once again, craigslist can't be blamed...there are just so many sickos out there.   You just have to be careful

Wow, that is so sad! I am always afraid to go anywhere by myself. I always try to bring someone along with me, now I am really going to make sure of this!

I've bought a few things on craig's list and a couple of times i made my DH go with me.   And other times I went by myself.  I do get nervous when I go by myself, but usually I meet with the person outside.  I would never deal with a man...I dunno it's pretty scary.   But i think it's the world to blame not craigslist as classfied ads have been in the paper for many years.   There are just a lot of sick freaks in this world.

That's horrifying. I've made some wonderful lasting friendships online, but even if I felt 100% sure in my heart that someone was on the level, I still wouldn't do a first meeting in a private home. There is just too much of this going on. Isn't it a sad thing that we have to be so cautious?

this is so disgusting. it reminds me of laci petersen (spelling?). you get one month away from the happiest day of your life, and some monster does this. that mom treated her body like a vessel for life, and that monster shoved it in a crawlspace. such a waste of life and a total disrespect for it.

what a crazy woman.. happened here in my neck of the woods... I just can't imagine.. and the lady already had 2 kids of her own...  I hope she gets the death penalty

This was 15 miles from the area I live in.  It's scarey.  I had my maternity clothes on Craig's List and my son was only 1 month old at the time and crazy thoughts ran through my mind when this lady was in my house looking at my clothes.  How did I know she was really there to buy maternity clothes? (but she did buy a lot of them) but she could of been there and kidnapped my newborn.
