I had a tubal reversal and understand how you feel. Make sure to pick a doctor that has a high success rate. Read reviews from previous patients. I became pregnant 3 months after my surgery. My little girl will be here March 22.
Tubal ligation is considered a permanent birth control and shouldn't be done unless the woman is 100% positive she will never want more children. That being said, I know many woman who have had it reversed. It's very costly, insurance doesn't cover it, and there is no gaurentee that it will be successful. I have friends who it didn't work, others who had several children like myself after the tr. I also have one friend who had the reversal for symptoms/complications of having a tubal ligation. I always cringe when I hear a younger woman saying she's having a tubal ligation. We never know what the future holds. We may loose a spouse to death or divorce and marry a childless man for example.
Wow! That's amazing . Didn't realize it was reversable. Good luck.
Sorry you may have to research a good one online....I didn't have my medical report from my tubal...when the doctor went I'm he checked them for hoe much tube I had left...my surgery was successful. ..I had my tubes tied for 12 years...and I got my reversal last year and now I'm 16 weeks pregnant
Sorry I can not help with a specialist in South Africa as I'm in U.S. But just a little advise. It's very important to get your tubal ligation surgery report. This tells you and most importantly your TR doctor what type of ligation procedure you had and it's you would be a good candidate for a reversal. If you had too much fallopian tube removed it makes it harder to conceive. The average tube is around 10cm, I had a reversal and once the tubes was reunited, it was 5.5cm on one side and 5cm on the other. I had no problems conceiving, and currently expecting my 2nd baby post TR surgery. Please do your research on the doctor as well. They all are not equally trained/and get the same results. Good luck.
