At around 1000 the doubling time of HCG levels typically starts to slow down. Instead of every 48 hours, the doubling time can go to 72 hours +. Also, I was told by an OB that Dr.'s are putting far less emphasis on HCG levels then they used to. Much more is able to be determined through early ultrasound. Your numbers are increasing and your progesterone is good. The first trimester is always the worse as it's such a wait and see time. I hope your outcome is a good one and look forward to your update. Take care and best of luck to you. I know firsthand how stressful the wait and see can be. Wishing you the best...Amanda.
Hi everyone, My Dr is sending me to a perinatologist for one of their ultrasounds because he thinks there is hope since my progesterone is so good. I have also begun to feel nauseated the last couple days which means my HCG is increasing so hopefully good news!! I have my appointment tomorrow morning for the ultrasound and I should be about 6 weeks so hopefully good news tomorrow!!
I wish you lots of luck. As long as you are not bleeding or having any problems I would say that is a good sign so far. Praying that your numbers go up and start to double for you. Please keep us updated.
The Dr was estimating me at alomst 5 weeks last thursday based on the size of my sac-8mm. He has not ordered more testing yet but will be calling his office today.
How far along are you? Sometimes if you have your blood drawn at two different labs the numbers can be off. Also I would wait until your next test since the numbers may jump and surprise you.
