Pubic bone PAIN!

I'm a 36yo mom expecting #4 in August. I just entered my 3rd trimester today, so I have a ways to go.  However...this pregnancy, my pubic bone is killing me!  It literally feels like I've been slammed in the pubic bone with a hammer.  It hurts when I sit, stand, walk, lay, and especially when I try to turn over in bed.  Never in my previous 3 pregnancies gave I had this experience...and my baby is only 2 lbs right now.  Oh heaven help me get to August!  Any tips? Tricks? Relief?  I've done warm baths, heating pad, chiropractic, and a belly band wrap/support.  Not much of a difference at all.

it is called PSD (pubic symphysis disfunction). I have it as well. I'm 38 yo and 33 weeks tomorrow. It's painful and frustrating. You can do kegal exercises, but I'm told once you have it, you will have it until after delivery. My dr said it is normal. I'm carrying my baby low and that can have something to do with it. Good luck and hang in there!

I have that pain too. I feel like my pubic bone is being pulled apart... I remember having this pain after my second labour. so maybe its the pelvic region kindof stretching to accomodate baby engaging? I dont kniw bt thats what I assume.

Yeaaaa I was just about to say. I'm a first time mom and I'm not overweight, just average and I started feeling this at 30 weeks. I'm now at 33 weeks and it hurts to keep my legs together. It hurts to BE... I'm pretty much ready to meet my little one whenever he or she blesses me with his or hers presence

Experienced that with my last, my son. I wasn't overweight but I put on the most weight with him then my previous pregnancys. It didn't let up until birth unfortunately. And when i delivered him I felt such a huge weight off literally! Like an unusual amount of relief. He was also 2lbs heavier then my first baby weighing almost 9 lbs at birth. I was only 125lbs at beginning of pregnancy btw. It will go away but after birth. Sorry mom, but your almost there you can do it!

I started out at 205 now weigh 219 at 37 weeks and I don't have the pelvic pain that you do. I don't think weight has anything to do with it.

This is #4 and I'm also due in Aug. I experienced the pain you are talking about with #3 towards the end of my pregnancy, but it started around 12 weeks with this one. I definitely moan when I rollover at night or have to get up. I have found that taking a Tylenol helps me sleep more comfortable, but nothing helps it during the day when I'm up moving around.

I started out overweight (224 lbs) which is the largest I've ever been.  I've read that this is more common in overweight mommas. So much of the blame is on myself.  I've only gained 3 lbs so far this pregnancy, so I'm doing my best to make healthy choices and remain active with my morning walks.  Even though all I want to do is sleep/lounge, I refuse to let this constant ache render me sedentary.

Does it come and go? How long have you been feeling it? When I went into labor with my son, that's exactly how my contractions started. I would call your Dr just to make sure. You're early in. I hate for it to be preterm.
