I am due Dec 14th. We will be staying home for Christmas. I have a huge family and do not want the baby exposed to all the germs and small kids. However, mine and the hubs parents may come over for a small dinner on Christmas

We are due a few days after Christmas but planned a quite holiday just in case she comes early. We are not even putting up a tree. I think whatever you do will be special. Take lots of pictures of baby and just relax. I would plan for really cute Christmas themed newborn pictures If I could

I recommend early preparation for the holiday. My third was born Dec24. I had my older two go celebrate Christmas Eve with family. On Christmas day, the older two came to the hospital to meet their sister and recieved gifts from baby and we opened Santa's gifts when i got home. Everything was low key. No huge dinner, we just warmed a ham and bought sides for ease.

Due Dec. 7th, and taking it as it comes. Husband and I will probably have a tree, cook a little food, and exchange modest gifts. We don't really have any family, nor do we have a lot of money. So no big plans for us; just try to enjoy each other and our little one:). Take care.

My second was born Dec 10th :) I had to make sure everything was done before he came (presents wrapped, tree up, cards out, house decorated, food planned). We did go to church Xmas eve with no problems. Just plan ahead.

My oldest daughter was due Christmas eve of 2008 and was born on the 19yh! I had her at Midnight mass with me and my then 3yr old son. It was the greatest blessing. I wouldn't have it any other way! Just take it easy and do what your comfortable with. Make sure everyone washes their hands before snuggling or holding your baby to cut down on germ exposure. It won't hurt you or the baby to keep your usual holiday plans as long as you take things easy..your body will tell you what your limits are! Congrats on the new baby!

I had my first son Christmas eve so Christmas was in the hospital with hubby and my parents. They brought me food and gifts and everything was great. Christmas is about blessings and presents. What better blessing and present than a newborn!

I'm due 12/23. No matter when baby comes my husband and I are doing a quiet christmas at home alone. It pissed my mother off when I told her that but it's what I want. I can just picture the tree lights on sitting in the dark with my hubby (and hopefully baby) listening to christmas music.makes me smile thinking about it :)

I had my second Dec 8th. I was worried about disease and everyone touching her. However,  that is how babit's build immunities. Do not take the baby to the mall for shopping or anything,  but in a controlled environment at home or a relatives place is fine. Bring a big bottle of sanitizer and explain you must sanitize your hands before picking up the child and if you remotely sound sick (sniffles, light cough, et) you will not hold the baby. If you don't want anyone touching the baby, just hold on to her and say it is too early and I am still recovering and can't handle the stress of not being able to get to her. There are many ways to handle it. Everyone came to my house and I did the sanitizer thing. I knew ever one wanted to hold the new baby. Everyone has a fascination with babies.
