tummy tuck w/c-section

One of my friends is pregnant and due in April she is having a c-section and told me her doctor said he will also do a tummy tuck while he's in there?  I don't believe her or how they could do this when her uterus is  still swollen?  Has anyone heard of this? She said he wasn't kidding and said it a few times?

I googled it and I think it would be considered a mini tuck ! They just take off alittle excess skin! I guess it's ok but I'm a chicken and wouldn't get anymore surgery then needed! This is her first c-section so she has no idea what she's in for!! I'm going on my fourth section and wouldn't do it personally. .

It's not possible!!  I did askedy Doctor the same question but he said that it would be too high of a risk to do both, I'd lost too much blood. He says I'd have to wait until my uterus goes down and heal prior to the tummy tuck can be performed. But if your friends doctor can do it, then that's great. I wish her good luck.

If the surgeon has told her that in one Sence he's right ,she has assumed that it will be a flat tuck. It wont!. They do take excess skin away and in a round about way it is cosmetic surgery. I had a c section 18yrs ago and I was suprised how much of my excess skin etc was removed. Exercise after a c section is the only way to attempt to get your tummy back.

She may be one of the lucky ones tbf and gain a flatter tummy but she may not be to impressed when she sees the scar line and slight overhang.

I could be wrong! But from experience that's what I know.

Hope she will be fine,  just the c section incision gives me chills. Had a c section before and was not a picnic for me and adding all that tucking at the tummy. She sure is brave. The uterus will be indeed swollen. Wld have been good if she had focussed on c section and baby.
