My amnio results are in...
OMG! I'm grinning from ear to ear =) I just heard from the genetic counselor & my ob. The amnio revealed two perfectly normal babies, one boy & one girl! 46 chromosomes each! Even though I was staying positive, I was dreading that phone call & now I feel like a huge weight has been lifted =) Thank you for all your prayers & support!!!
I am so happy to hear that you are having 2 healthy babies and that they are boy/girl twins. I have a set of boy/girl twins already and they are great. I am also 13 wks pregnant with twins again. My hubby and I think it might be boy/girl twins again but I guess we will see. I just want them both to be healthy. This is such great news. Now you could relax for the rest of your pregnancy. quinnsmomma: The only options for boy/girl twins were either both were boys & one dropped a Y chromosome to become a girl. She would then have some issues, but we now know that that's not an option. The second is that one started off with an extra chromosome & dropped it, which is also rare, but would result in healthy boy/girl twins from a single embryo. The third option is that we conceived one naturally, which honestly dh & I cannot pinpoint when we would have bd'd around our retrieval. You know how it is when you're ttc & you remember each time you bd? Well, we actually were avoiding it because I was in so much pain lugging around 22+ eggs =) Haha! So, however it happened, it doesn't even matter to us right now. The fact is we're so happy & relieved & can now rid our minds of all the "maybes". Thanks for thinking of me =)

Yay! Yay! Yay! That is such awesome news. I have been thinking about you. So it seems most likely then that another egg released near your IVF?
