desperately need help

Hi, I am 35 weeks pregnant and I do routing check as scheduled. On the 30 week when I did the sonogram to find out the child sex and anything is wrong, the doctor told me they saw the soft mark on the baby heart that might indicated of down syndrome. My doctor told me not to worry because all of the blood test was ok and it is just a soft mark nothing else since there is no history of that in our family
All the time the doctor measure my belly and told me the baby is develop good. I requested for an sonogram last week and was told that my baby is too small, only 4 lbs and they might have to get me in labor early to make sure the baby is ok. Also they told me that the baby arm and legs are smaller than usual.
ITs really Fricking me out. I tried to drink as much milk as I can now but only 4 lbs I am not sure if he is going to be healthy and ok.
Does anyone experience the same thing????

The dr probably said wait because the baby gains most if not all the weight in the last part of pregnancy. The baby will gain anywhere from 1/2 lb to 2 lbs a week. Your full term at 39 weeks (just FYI with both my babies as I had said above about their weight, both of my babies were born 2 weeks before the due date) so if your 35 weeks, you have 4 weeks left add to the already 4 lb baby, say 1 lb a week you'll have somewhere around a 7-8 lb baby.

Hang in there.  I'm also dealing with small baby. They told me at 36 wks based on ultrasound. US isn't always right though.  It's the best test they have but it really depends on the technician's measurement.  They ordered fetal nonstress tests 2x weekly and as long as baby is moving a lot and doesn't seem to be under stress we'll keep him in as long as it's safe.   Read up on down's just in case but hope for the best mama.  They just don't always know the answers.

I am in the doctor now and they told me not to each much since I already gain 31 lbs. My guess all of the fat comes to me, but little help on the baby. Now all the doctor said is wait..... I am not sure wait for what since I can't push to gain weight on the baby......

It does seem odd they would do the ultra sound at 30 wks. Usually they are done between the 15-20 wk mark. I'm 36 and did the first trimester screening  at 12 wks. I did a blood test called Free Cell DNA which tested for genetic + issues that the fetus/baby could have. The results came back with no concerns. On the ultra sound there was a white spot on the heart ( can be a indication for downs) but because I had the blood work done and that came back great they said they weren't concerned. I'm not sure if that is the type of spot your dr saw, I'm high risk so I actually see 2 drs neither are concerned and said it's actually common. Talk to your dr, if you want absolute peace if mind and to know how to prepare for the baby you may still be able to do an amnio test. I had to do one with baby #2, but I was 13 wks in the pregnancy (they said they could do the amnio now for baby 3- I opted no because the free cell test is 95% accurate but the amnio is 99% accurate). Make sure your dr knows your concerns.

I'm not sure either why they're so concerned with the baby being 4 lbs... You still have 4+ wks left in the pregnancy because your baby will continue to gain 1/2 + pounds a week until birth. Babies gain the most weight at the end of pregnancy.  With my first baby they said he would be 5 lbs (I'm petite only gained 26 lbs total for the pregnancy, my belly measure was always below what they said it should be) and he was almost 8 lbs. my second they said she would weigh 5.5 lbs she was almost 7 lbs. I don't think drinking milk really helps, but eat more protein and fiber to up weight.

Yeah I would talk with your doctor. This is A LOT of information to process with so many unknowns. Keep pushing until you get the answers you need.

Have you spoken with the doctor about your concerns?  It seems very odd that all if a sudden this is coming out.  Also, could you request an appt with a perintologist?
