extremely tired at 23 weeks

I'm 23 weeks today. A week ago I started taking 324 mg of iron b/c my iron was at 30 and should be 37.  I was feeling better and more myself until yesterday. I've been just really tired and weak kind of like I was before I started taking the iron. Has anyone else had this problem?

Last time my blood was checked my iron was 8...they do transfusions at 7, ugh!  I'm always tired, and the incredible heat, 2 active children, and babysitting my 5 month old nephew don't help lol.  I have iron pills, but I'm really bad about taking them bc they upset my stomach so bad...plus I'm vegetarian on top of everything lol.  I'm trying to be good and take them every other day since the first 2 days I took them I got my very first hemmorhoid (tmi sorry :-)!!!  Ah, the joys of pregnancy :-)

I hope you feel better soon.  Have you spoken with your Dr?

I am at the same stage as you pregnancy wise with TWINS.  I have not really been having any issues.  I agree with trying43 & think it might be something with blood sugar.

Hang in there, we are half way through!!

It could also be the heat. We've had record heat in my area and you are in the nest state over. This weekend has been so hot even my husband was exhausted.

Could also be low blood sugar.  Try eating a snack and see if that helps.  Good luck
