Your weeks of pregnancy are counted from the first day of your last menstrual period. Pregnancy usually happens about 2 weeks after that date. Once you become pregnant, a normal period should stop. Any bleeding you get should be very light compared to normal. I have had 5 babies and everytime I can tell I am pregnant before I even miss my period cuause of tender breasts. Every woman will be different but that was just my exoerience. Good luck
With both of.my.first pregnancies I got what I thought was a period, it turns.out it was just from where the fertilized egg was settling in the.womb. it doesn't happen to everyone, its alright if.you experience some bleeding and cramping like a period. If you bleed stuff that's chunky and have sever cramping that's NOT good. Just wait and see :) good luck and Congrats if you are.
There are no stupid questions so don't worry. If you are pregnant you won't get your period but don't worry if you have cramps and a few spotting, there good signs believe it or not.
