Hi Ladies.....I'm back!!!!

Long time no hear from; and how Ive missed you all.  I see some new names and faces and yet I see some of you girls are still hanging in there!  For those of you who dont know me I was a faithful member during the 07/08 era!  I gave birth to a 5lb 6oz baby boy by the name of Chancellor on June 8th.  He's doing perfect.  Its his mommy whos had a very rough transition.  I started having seizures shortly after his birth and now the nuerologist believes I've had a mini stroke.  Because I'm a faithful believer I wont even claim that, but I will ask for your prayers and words of advise and wisdom.
I'm feeling well enough to start logging back on so any questions or concerns you ladies may have please feel free to ask.
And to all of my Medhelp ladies who shared the boards with me, please hit me up and let me know how you and your little ones are doing!
Love you girls, cant wait to hear from you!

My prayers are with you. I can only imagine what you have gone through during this time but God is a healer and I know that by His stripes...you are ALREADY healed.

How is that lil handsome fellow of yours? Chancellor is such a cutie :)

Hugs and Blessings on you,

E

Hi there!!
Good to hear from you and sorry I am just now seeing your post! My hubby had his first seizure (at night) when we were 31 and our first daughter was a year old. He had his second seizure (both grand mal) a few weeks before our 2nd child was born and that was over 7 years ago. He's on Keppra which is working well for him and he has not had a seizure since his last. I learned so much about seizures during that time...more than I wanted to as, same as you, it felt like someone elses life, but I will say that stress is a part of it. Everyone...EVERYONE, can have a seizure...everyone's threshold is diffrent. My husband was going thru a lot at the time and I think that stress, sleep deprivation and some other things contributed to it.

Those first few months of post-seizure were really scary. Driver's license issues, health-screening issues, you name it. Please know it gets better regardless of whether they find "why".

It took me (and him) a long time to get used to the fact that he may have another seizure...but he hasn't. But even if he did it is completely okay as I have learned that they are nothing more than the brain mis-firing...you are OK!

If you ever need an ear, please holler!!

Hi Ladies,
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes.  Ive been in the hospital since last Wed.  Theyve been running test basically trying to push me to have a seizure while they held me hostage, lo and behold they succeded!  Dont get me wrong I consider it a good thing because at least I know now how much pressure it takes to push me to that point (a lot) and what dosage of anti-seizure medication I needed to be placed on.  Wow, this feels like someone elses life.  No one in my family has this condition and I'm damn near 30yrs old just being hit with this.  The neurologist said maybe its just all the stress from the "transition" after the baby, hopefully she's right.  I feel like everyone in the family is looking at me out the corner of their eye as if I'm cracking under the pressure.
"JUST TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE I'M NOT!" LOLOLOLOL :)~

Any HOO...  I'll update you ladies with some new pics of the little big man soon when im feeling at least 60/40! (SMILE)  Hope everyone is having a 50/50 day!

Hey there, and welcome back!!  I am so sorry to hear you have had a rough time of it since sweet little Chancellor's birth.  I hope the medical challenges are behind you now.  However I do remember you well, and I am certain I am correct in saying you are one strong lady!  I always enjoyed your posts and your honest but kind responses to everyone.  I am happy to hear Chancellor is doing well, he is such a beautiful baby.  You can count on my prayers for sure, and again welcome back.  You were missed!!!
