DAN ANYONE HELP ME????

I have written about part of my problem in the women's health forum recently, however, I have had no further feedback, and would like to update everyone with my problem.
I didn't get my last period at all, my next is due next week, so I am now aprox. 21 days (3 weeks) late.
I skip the sugar tablets most month's, and have a period about every 3rd month. I have been a bit careless, and taken my pills at very different times of the day.
I feel slightly nauseous, have a very bloated/sore stomach (however, keep in mind I have IBS - but this pain/bloating is somewhat different and worse.) I have bad indigestion every night. Some month's, just before my period, I have some pain where my left ovary is, but since I have been late with this period that I was supposed to have, the pain is there most days. I do not have sore/tender breasts at all. I am tired, but then I am always tired.
I have done a home pregnancy test, when I was about 8 days late, and had a blood test at doctor's, when I was 11 days late, and they both came back negative. I know I should just wait until next week, to see if my period arrives, and until I go to see a gynocologist in 3 weeks, however I guess I'm impatient. Can ANYONE help me out here? Any suggestions on what could be wrong with me?????

My period is due today or tomorrow, and so far no signs of it coming (that I usually have and know it's coming)
Is it possible that I AM pregnant, even though when I had my blood test (11 days late on period) it was negative?
I am almost 38 years old.

I went to the GYNO today, and I have a "simple" cyst on my left ovary.
She suggested I have a laparoscopy done to look at/remove cyst, check my fallopian tubes, check there are no adhesions and check to see if I have endometrios. I am a bit scared about all this, even though many people have this done, and they have to state all the possible complications with all surgery, reading them for this procedure SCARES me alot..........

I am seeing a Gynecologist on Friday. I am hoping nothing bad happens between now and then. And just before the appointment I am having a gynecological ultrasound done. Hopefully that is soon enough. And if they can't find anything, I will be going to my own Doctor to follow it up next week!

I very much agree with jrobertson's comments.  It is very dangerous to attempt to diagnose yourself.  All anyone here can offer is opinion.  You must see a Dr. as soon as possible.  Good luck to you.

It could be a cyst.  I think at this point if the pain is still there it's time to see a doctor.  I would call ASAP and make an appointment.  Good luck and I hope it's nothing serious.

Can anyone help me with what may be wrong with me?
Continuing on from all my above comments, I have this horrible stitch like pain near my left ovary, and down into my groin. It's worst in the morning before I go to the toilet, but then it's there all day. Everytime I push to go to the toilet, cough or even walk it hurts.
Could this be a cyst, my schiatica coming through to the front, or my IBS (a serious problem with my bowel)?
I am really worried it is something bad, and if it's a cyst, that it could rupture, or if it's a blockage in my bowel, it could rupture (very dangerous).
Does anyone have any suggestions, PLEASE!!!!!!!

Cool! I hope everything goes well with your pregnancy, you must be so excited.
Yes I will mention it to GYN, as I must say, it has me very worried. Felt really horrible last night and today, very bad pain, all across my lower stomach, mainly on left side and into my hip. Almost feels like a really bad stitch.

No I am only 17 weeks right now.  The baby (sorry don't know what it is yet) is due November 13th!!!!!!!  I would def. mention that pain to your GYN just to be on the safe side.  Good luck.

Thank-you both for your feedback.
Well I got my period this morning...........So, I guess it was from cutting it out so many times on the pill. I must say, I am relieved, as maybe this means there is nothing wrong with me, however, I'm also a bit disappointed, as even though it would have been unplanned, I was kind of hoping I was pregnant.....
I still think because of the pain I get where my left ovary is, is perhaps a cyst.
I have to have an ultrasound and see a gyno next Friday, so I will mention these things to her.
Thanks again to both of you.
jrobertson20, have you had your baby yet? If so how long ago?

Your welcome.  It does get frustrating and time seems to go slow when you are waiting for something to happen.  Stress can also cause your period to be late so if you are really stressing over this it could also be helping to cause the delay in your period.  Your problem may not even be a down there problem.  It could be that your hormones are just a little "out of whack" for some reason or other.  Could be due to the pills or just a normal thing.  Try not to stress too much.  I really used this site a lot (even now) but when I first found out I was pregnant because we didn't tell our families until I was about 9 weeks along and I was so excited and just wanted to talk about it.

In general these kinds of questions are hard to answer as we are not medical specialists on this forum.  A negative pregnancy test 11 days after your period strongly rules out pregnancy.  You may have just missed a period - that can happen from time to time - could be caused by stress, illness, or perhaps the irregular way you have taking your pill.  Since you missed you last period and say that you only have a period every 3 months, it may be that you will not be back on your regular track for a few more months.  The only other possible thing I can think of is a cyst on your ovary.  I would talk to your doctor, but in general would not worry too much about a missed period as it does not usually mean anything serious medically.

Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, I think I'll do another test in 2 days if no show. The thing is, I don't even feel like it's coming. I usually know 1-2 days, sometimes more before I get it that it's coming.
I guess time will tell, but I'm just getting impatient.
I guess it could be just the pill. However, I'm paranoid, thinking it's one of two things. Either I'm pregnant, or there is something wrong down there.......
On the other hand, if I do get my period, then I figure my answer will be, it's the pill.
Thank-you again for your reply. Even though I still don't have an answer, it's good to talk about it with other females who don't personally know me, as I haven't told anyone I know, apart from my boyfriend.
It gets a little frustrating at times, when so many people ask the same or similar questions, yet so little actually provide answers or suggestions. I guess once some people on here find out the answers, through getting a positive test, their period or other test results, they may actually never get back on this site and help others who are experiencing the same thing........

It could be because of being on the pill and not taking it one time could cause you to ovulate which you may not know when it would occur.  If you don't get your period again in the next 2 days or so I would call your doctor again and let them know that you missed another period.  See if they will do another blood test for you just to make sure that for some reason the last one was not done too early.  It could also be from being on the pill.  Good luck and I hope you get your answer soon.
