Hello,

I read your comment to Brandi and you mentioned that in MD, your job is protected for a year.  I too live in Maryland, and everything I've read only gurantees 12 weeks.  Now if you're ill and on FMLA you can use it throughout a year's time and continue to renew it, BUT if you're off it's 12 weeks.  If you have other information, can you PLEASE advise me where I can find this, because I'd like to stay home with my baby (due in October) for as long as I can........I definitely don't wanna be back at work in 12 weeks or less)

Thanks

You're right about that.  After I looked into it that is exactly what it says.  However, I have over 10 weeks vacation saved up, so my job will allow me to us that to be able to stay off longer.  Sorry for the confusion.
