See the picture in my profile. He is a product of a successful pregnancy after ablation surgery. I had ablation surgery in 2000 and gave birth to him in 2006. It was a very difficult and risky pregnancy. I was on pelvic rest the entire time. I was 41 when I delivered my baby 2months early.
Hi this is Amanda i have 5 kids an 7 months post op of the nova sure ablation an now 7 weeks can i carry to fall term,, is it possible
Pregnancy after ablation can happen, however it is unlikely and also potentially very dangerous. Please do not attempt to become pregnant without seeking medical advice. It is not usually recommended. Sorry, I know that is probably not the answer you wanted to hear. I wish you well.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after an ablation a successful pregnancy is almost impossible. They remover the lining of your uterus and you need a nice thick lining to support a pregnancy. Although you could possibly become pregnant it is highly unlikely that you will carry to term. I would check with and RE because they would know best. I had heavy bleeding a few years ago and my OB wanted to do an ablation and told me that if I chose to go along with it to solve my bleeding problem, to make 100% sure that I didn't want anymore children. I opted out because I did want to try. I had a D & C instead and it seemed to help my situation. Now I have other trouble, I haven't had a period in 3 1/2 months now and I am still not pregnant. Best of luck to you and I hope that for your sake they tell you it is possible with medical interverntion.
